He opened up a coffee shop with narrow focus.

This focus strengthened the brand.

Today this coffee shop chain is worth over 85 billion dollars. 


Most Deli’s serve just about everything.

Hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches with different types of meat and cheese.

Hard rolls, soft rolls, hero rolls, different types of bagel and bread. 

Fred Deluca did it differently.

He started a Deli with narrow focus.

This focus strengthened the brand.

Today  subway shop has over 44,000 stores. 


It is so easy to recognize the success of these brands. 

Just because a pig can sell milk doesn’t mean it should.

We make these mistakes today.

We’re lured by the opportunity for a quick sale and betray the authenticity of our brand in the process.
